New Waste Regulations for Isle of Wight Businesses Coming March 2025

Businesses across the Isle of Wight are being urged to prepare for new waste regulations coming into effect from 31st March 2025. Under the updated law, all businesses with 10 or more employees will be legally required to separate their waste streams.

The new rules mean businesses must sort:

  • Dry Mixed Recycling (paper, cardboard, plastic, and metal)

  • Food Waste (from preparation and leftovers)

  • Glass Bottles

  • General Waste (non-recyclables)

We’ve been helping our clients with a range of waste clearance needs, from general waste to more challenging items, ensuring everything is removed responsibly. Our commitment to eco-friendly disposal methods and recycling means that we’re not just clearing waste, but also contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable community.

Failure to comply could lead to fines, and with tipping fees set to rise from 1st April 2025, businesses could also face increased disposal costs.

Ace Waste is here to support businesses through these changes by offering fully compliant waste collection services, tailored to meet legal standards and help reduce costs.
