To ensure proper handling, we use sharps bins for the disposal of all used needles and sharp objects. These bins are specifically designed with a secure lid to prevent any accidental exposure. You can get a sharps bin on prescription from your GP or local pharmacist.
Once the sharps bin is full, it’s safely taken to a pharmacy on the Isle of Wight. From there, a specialized company collects the bins and transports them to the mainland, where they are incinerated—ensuring they are safely and permanently disposed of.
